You could get brilliant images out of this program and my students couldn't wait to learn how to create zombies, aliens and other weird creatures. It was a great program and we loved the fact that it wasn't too complex. (Bear in mind, we had other stuff we were learning lie typing as well.) My students loved PSP and we had a lot of fun altering photos with it. One of the reasons I created the course was because I wanted a step by step program that I could deliver to the students over a 9 week period. I called it Paintshop Pro X7 Tips and Tricks. So, I created a video series for the students to use. At the time, PaintShop Pro X7 was on the market and very affordable for our school. Since I worked at a private school, we could not afford the expensive Photoshop license. A few years ago, I was tasked with teaching a pack of junior high students how to use a graphics program.
